Block Unleashes $500 Billion Consumer Push for Bitcoin
Block, Inc., has launched its first major Bitcoin consumer campaign, targeting approximately 60 million 'Bitcoin-curious' Americans. The company aims to drive the next phase of Bitcoin adoption in the US by focusing on everyday spending habits rather than just trading charts.
The campaign's central line is blunt and a little cheeky: 'Some things don't make sense. Bitcoin does.' The messaging leans on Bitcoin's basic mechanics, such as its capped supply and middleman-free design, rather than price history.
This consumer push didn't appear out of nowhere, it builds on infrastructure and advocacy work Block has been laying down for roughly a year. The company has spent that time wiring Bitcoin into its core products while simultaneously lobbying Washington to make small transactions less of a tax headache.
