Block Unleashes $60M Campaign to Turn Bitcoin into Everyday Currency
Fintech company Block has launched its first large-scale consumer advertising campaign to promote Bitcoin as an everyday payment method.
The campaign, which targets about 60 million Americans interested in Bitcoin but have never owned it, aims to position Bitcoin as a currency for daily use, not just a speculative or investment asset.
The ads feature Block's core services: Cash App, Square, and Bitkey, and depict people using Bitcoin in everyday life, such as buying flowers and splitting a meal with friends.
Miles Suter, Block's Bitcoin lead, said the campaign marks the company's first large-scale effort to show what a Bitcoin-centered financial system could look like.
