Blockaid Expands Onchain Monitoring Amidst Surging Infrastructure Failures
Blockaid, the onchain security platform used by major crypto companies, has expanded its Onchain Monitoring suite to address the growing threat of infrastructure failures in the cryptocurrency space. According to Blockaid's data, 74% of stolen crypto value in the first half of 2026 came from operational and infrastructure compromises rather than traditional smart-contract vulnerabilities.
The number of incidents has increased dramatically, with roughly 3.4 times as many incidents recorded in the first half of 2026 compared to all of 2025. Blockaid warns that compromised signers, outdated deployments, vulnerable third-party protocols, and shared infrastructure can expose every asset and application connected to it.
The expanded suite is designed to continuously identify how an organization's onchain footprint changes over time, adding three core capabilities: discovering onchain exposure, mapping third-party dependencies, and detecting ecosystem-wide threats before they reach a team's assets.
