Blockchain.com Aims for $500M IPO with Valuation Between $4B-6B
Blockchain.com is reportedly planning to go public this year, seeking to raise around $500 million through an initial public offering (IPO). The company, which provides crypto exchange and wallet services, confidentially filed a Form S-1 with the SEC in May. According to Bloomberg, Blockchain.com is targeting a valuation between $4 billion and $6 billion.
The move comes as Bitcoin has climbed more than 30% since mid-August. This recent price surge follows a U.S. Treasury announcement about increased buybacks of long-dated government debt. However, shares of other crypto companies that have gone public in the past remain down roughly 50% to 80% from their post-IPO highs.
Blockchain.com's proposed IPO is not without precedent. Gemini listed on Nasdaq in September 2025, pricing shares at $28 and raising $425 million. eToro raised $620 million in its May 2025 IPO, pricing shares at $52. BitGo priced its IPO in January 2026 at $18 per share, raising about $212.8 million.
