Blockchain.com and NYSE Group Partner on Tokenized US Stocks
Blockchain.com and NYSE Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore giving Blockchain.com's user base access to tokenized versions of US exchange-listed equities and ETFs.
The trading access would run through NYSE's digital alternative trading system, an ATS built specifically to support tokenized securities. This is pending regulatory approvals before it goes live.
The partnership centers on trading hours: tokenized securities on a digital ATS can trade outside the standard 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern window that governs traditional NYSE-listed equities, and outside US market holidays as well. For Blockchain.com's international user base, this would mean access to US stocks and ETFs without waiting for US market hours.
The MOU also includes a bidirectional data-sharing component, where ICE Data Services will distribute Blockchain.com's crypto market analytics to its traditional finance client base, while Blockchain.com will incorporate NYSE and ICE market data feeds for its own user base of around 44 million accounts.
