Blockchain.com and NYSE Team Up for Global Tokenized Securities Trading
Blockchain.com and NYSE Group have formed a partnership to explore global, 24/7 trading of tokenized securities. The collaboration aims to provide Blockchain.com's user base access to tokenized US exchange-listed equities and ETFs on the NYSE's digital ATS.
The partnership may include delivering Blockchain.com's deep crypto market data and analytics to ICE's data subscribers and embedding NYSE and ICE's data across the Blockchain.com platform. This bidirectional market data distribution is expected to benefit traditional investors by providing them with more intelligence about digital asset investment opportunities.
According to Citi Institute, tokenized assets are forecasted to reach a $5.5 trillion base case by 2030. Tokenized stocks offer several benefits, including fractional ownership, around-the-clock trading decoupled from when markets are open, and faster, more transparent onchain settlement.
