Blockchain.com Partners with NYSE for Tokenized Stocks
Blockchain.com has formed a partnership with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to offer tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs on its app, the companies announced Wednesday.
The NYSE's planned digital trading venue will provide 24/7 trading and instant on-chain settlement for users of Blockchain.com, which claims over 44 million confirmed accounts across more than 70 jurisdictions.
This deal marks a significant step in making Wall Street available to crypto-native investors, according to Peter Smith, CEO and co-founder of Blockchain.com.
The arrangement is subject to regulatory approvals and the NYSE's platform has yet to launch. The partnership also includes data sharing between the two companies, with ICE Data Services planning to distribute Blockchain.com's crypto market data to its subscribers, while Blockchain.com will add certain NYSE and ICE feeds to its app.
