Blockchain.com Prepares $500M IPO Amid Crypto Market Recovery
Blockchain.com is gearing up for a significant public debut through an initial public offering (IPO), aiming to raise around $500 million at a valuation of $4 billion to $6 billion. The company, founded in 2011 by members of the BitcoinTalk.org forum, operates as both an exchange and wallet provider.
This move comes as the crypto market begins to recover from a prolonged downturn. Blockchain.com has reportedly been operating in the green for the past three years, according to unnamed sources.
The IPO plans are similar to those of other crypto companies that went public last year, including Gemini Space Station Inc. and Etoro Group Ltd. However, these companies have seen significant declines in their share values since going public - Gemini's shares are down over 80%, while Etoro's are down around 50%.
