Blockchain.com Seeks $4B-$6B Valuation in Cryptocurrency IPO Frenzy

Share

Crypto wallet and brokerage company Blockchain.com is reportedly seeking to raise about $500 million in a US initial public offering (IPO) this year, aiming for a valuation of $4 billion to $6 billion. This move would test how much public investors are willing to pay for a long-running crypto business as other firms also pursue IPOs.

The proposed listing would place Blockchain.com well below its 2022 peak valuation of $14 billion, with the reported range representing a discount of around 57% to 71%. The company confidentially submitted draft IPO documents to the US Securities and Exchange Commission in May, but final terms, size, timing, and valuation could still change.

Blockchain.com has expanded its services beyond conventional crypto offerings by announcing an agreement with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to explore giving users access to tokenized US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds through a planned NYSE digital trading venue.
