Blockchain.com Seeks $500M IPO at $4B-$6B Valuation

Share

Blockchain.com, a leading cryptocurrency exchange and digital wallet provider, is preparing for a public market debut this year. The company plans to raise $500 million through an initial public offering (IPO) in 2025, with a target market valuation of between $4 billion and $6 billion.

The journey towards going public began in May when Blockchain.com submitted a confidential Form S-1 registration statement to the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company had not finalized key details such as share quantity or pricing parameters at that time, but indicated that proceeding with the IPO would depend on favorable market circumstances and completion of SEC scrutiny.

Blockchain.com has maintained profitability on an adjusted earnings basis for three consecutive years, with a total equity capital of $537 million. The company's valuation has fluctuated over the years, reaching a peak of $14 billion in 2022 before declining to less than half that figure in 2023.
