Blockchain.com Wins Cayman Custody License Amid Regulatory Milestones

Share

Blockchain.com has secured a key regulatory approval to offer custody services in the Cayman Islands.

The company, which has been registered as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) since May 2022, obtained a VASP license from the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority on July 22, 2026. This license allows Blockchain.com to provide regulated crypto custody services in the Cayman Islands and also enables the company to offer crypto-to-fiat and crypto-to-crypto exchange services.

This move comes after Blockchain.com secured a Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) license in Europe and registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority. The company's co-CEO, Lane Kasselman, stated that strong regulation is essential to the long-term development of digital assets, and these approvals further strengthen their ability to serve customers across the region.
