Blockfusion Lands $2.8B AI Deal at Niagara Falls Campus
Blockfusion has signed a 15-year lease with an unnamed AI customer at its Niagara Falls campus, potentially worth billions. The company's subsidiary, North East Data, announced a letter of intent for up to 300 MW of critical IT capacity, which would be a significant upgrade from the current 50 MW facility.
The guaranteed portion of the deal is 85 MW of take-or-pay capacity, which could generate around $2.8B in revenue over the initial 15-year period. If both optional five-year renewal periods are exercised, that figure balloons to approximately $5.4B over 25 years.
This deal marks a significant shift for Blockfusion, which was initially founded as a cryptocurrency mining company. The company's leadership has recognized the growing demand for AI compute infrastructure and is retooling its facilities to handle high-density GPU and AI workloads.
