Blockstream Launches Blockstream Swaps After Boltz Suspension

Blockstream has launched Blockstream Swaps in beta testing after noncustodial swap provider Boltz suspended its services due to automated probing and exploits.

The disruption occurred on August 3, with Blockstream saying its new service was already 'well into' its development process before the shutdown.

According to Blockstream, its new service will provide another option for users moving funds between Bitcoin, Lightning, and Liquid networks.

The company emphasized that it is not seeking to replace existing providers and aims to add redundancy and resilience to the ecosystem.
