Bloomberg Adds Hyperliquid Perpetual Prices to Terminal
Bloomberg Terminal has integrated 24-hour streaming prices for select Hyperliquid perpetual contracts, bringing decentralized derivatives data into a widely used platform for professional traders and financial institutions. Users can now monitor these markets by entering WSL $HYPE <GO>, covering contracts linked to cryptocurrencies, equities, commodities, foreign exchange, and indexes. While the integration provides real-time pricing data, it does not yet support direct execution of Hyperliquid trades.
The addition allows professional users to compare Hyperliquid prices with traditional assets such as Bitcoin, Nvidia, the S&P 500, Brent crude, and EURUSD without switching platforms. Hyperliquid's trading activity has surged, with open interest crossing $18 billion for the first time on September 23, 2026, driven by contracts across various asset classes. The platform's HIP 3 framework enables the creation of perpetual markets beyond cryptocurrencies, including stocks, commodities, and private companies.
Other infrastructure providers have also facilitated access to Hyperliquid data. In September 2026, DoubleZero introduced Hyperliquid data feeds through its Edge service, targeting trading firms and market makers. Meanwhile, Payward, the parent company of Kraken, announced plans to offer regulated Hyperliquid perpetuals to eligible U.S. clients through HIP 3 infrastructure, subject to regulatory approval. Hyperliquid's expansion into non-crypto markets has attracted regulatory attention, with the Hyperliquid Policy Center seeking clarity on the treatment of equity perpetuals in the United States.
Bloomberg's integration focuses solely on market data, providing another route for professional investors to monitor Hyperliquid prices alongside traditional assets. While execution remains separate, the addition underscores the growing institutional interest in decentralized derivatives platforms.
