Bloomberg Terminal Adds Hyperliquid Perpetual Futures Quotes
The Bloomberg Terminal has added real-time tracking for Hyperliquid perpetual futures quotes. Users can now access live prices for select perpetual contracts by entering WSL HYPE <GO> on the platform. The feature covers a broad range of assets, including equities, commodities, foreign exchange, indices, and digital assets like Bitcoin.
The update was first announced by Bloomberg’s Michael McDonough on September 29, 2026, and officially launched on October 5, 2026. The contracts displayed include major assets such as oil, gold, Brent crude, the S&P 500, NVIDIA-related contracts, Bitcoin, and the EUR/USD currency pair. Hyperliquid’s markets operate 24/7, providing continuous pricing data, even for assets like gold and the S&P 500, which traditionally trade during regular business hours.
Currently, the integration does not support trade execution, meaning users can view prices but cannot place orders through the Terminal. The primary benefit for institutions is the ability to compare Hyperliquid’s pricing against traditional benchmarks without switching platforms. This could enhance data analysis and decision-making for portfolio managers.
Hyperliquid operates as a decentralized perpetual futures trading platform on its own Layer-1 blockchain, supporting over 100 assets. The launch follows recent public comments by President Trump regarding the CFTC’s regulatory efforts concerning Hyperliquid’s operations in the U.S. Despite this, Hyperliquid continues to geo-block users in the U.S.
The integration is expected to boost Hyperliquid’s reputation within institutional data infrastructure, positioning it as a credible price reference. However, there are no immediate indications of increased inflows tied to this integration, as it remains a data-only setup without execution capabilities. Some analysts suggest this could be a preliminary step toward deeper engagement with institutional investors.
