Bloomberg Terminal Adds Stablecoin Analytics in Major Institutional Move

Share

Bloomberg has added a new tool to its Terminal platform, providing on-chain stablecoin analytics. This dashboard tracks supply, issuance, and transaction activity in real-time, allowing users to compare stablecoins using metrics such as transfer volume and velocity.

The tool is powered by blockchain data platform Allium and covers stablecoins with more than $100 million in circulation, representing over 98% of the market. Bloomberg says this will help reduce friction for participants who want to incorporate stablecoin supply dynamics into risk management and portfolio analysis without leaving their primary workflow.

With the launch of this tool, Bloomberg is extending its ecosystem to stablecoin monitoring, an area where many traditional participants previously had to stitch together disparate data sources. The dashboard's exact methodology for computing metrics like velocity remains unstated, but it could be a significant step forward in standardizing on-chain monitoring.
