Bloomberg Terminal Integrates Hyperliquid Perpetual Prices for Pro Traders
Bloomberg Terminal has added 24-hour streaming prices for selected Hyperliquid perpetual contracts, giving professional traders access to on-chain derivatives data within the platform. The integration, accessible via the command WSL HYPE
Hyperliquid's open interest surpassed $18 billion on September 23, up from a previous record of $16.36 billion just four days earlier. The platform had over $13 billion in open interest at the end of August, highlighting rapid growth in outstanding derivatives positions. Bitcoin, Ether, and HYPE represented about $9.33 billion of the September 23 total.
Hyperliquid has expanded beyond crypto markets through HIP 3, a framework enabling independent deployers to create perpetual markets for various assets. This has introduced new trading opportunities, including markets linked to the S&P 500, gold, crude oil, and private companies. The model supports price discovery outside traditional market hours, though perpetual contracts come with leverage, funding, and liquidity risks.
Infrastructure providers are also enhancing connections between Hyperliquid and professional trading firms. DoubleZero introduced Hyperliquid data feeds through its Edge service in September, targeting market makers, quantitative firms, and trading desks. The service delivers sequenced market information without requiring subscribers to reconstruct the venue’s order book from public API updates.
