Bloxtel Brings Private 5G Infrastructure to Avalanche Blockchain
Bloxtel, a startup based in San Francisco, has announced it will deploy its private 5G infrastructure on Avalanche. The company's flagship AP 201 device is designed to run full core network functionality at the edge and supports US band 48 and international band 78.
The AP 201 device is manufactured through a partnership with Askey Computer Corp., a subsidiary of ASUS, and is set for availability in Q4 2026. Bloxtel's business model revolves around a setup fee plus monthly charges for small cell deployments, with a basic plan advertised at $499 per month.
Bloxtel's patented dSIM technology uses asymmetric PKI-based authentication to replace traditional SIM card infrastructure, allowing device identity and network authentication to happen through cryptographic key pairs. The company also developed Open6GC, a core network platform that integrates AI-driven automation and predictive maintenance.
