BNB at a Crossroads: Will Bulls Break Through $767 or Bears Take the Floor?
BNB is at a critical juncture as it enters October, currently sitting at $756.51 after a quiet -1.48% session in September. Unlike Bitcoin, which has had its best September on record with a 7.33% gain, BNB underperformed and printed a distribution range between $710 and $770 throughout the month.
The macro backdrop is hostile, with both the Fed and Bank of Japan hiking rates in September and signaling further tightening, directly impacting risk assets and speculative crypto. Despite this, BNB has held above its 50-day SMA, which could be seen as a structural positive.
However, momentum for BNB is completely flatlined near mid-range, with the MACD histogram having zeroed out entirely, signal and MACD lines converged to a dead cross at 16.42, and RSI sitting right in the center of the neutral band with no conviction from either camp.
The moving average structure is one genuinely bullish argument available, as price is above the SMA 7, SMA 20, well above the SMA 50, and a full 19% above the 200-day SMA. But price has slipped below the SMA 7 intraday, turning the short-term trend negative.
