BNB Chain Hits $1 Billion in Tokenized Stocks and ETFs
The BNB Chain has become the first blockchain to reach $1 billion in tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), according to recent data. The market capitalization of these tokenized assets rose by 17% in September to $3.35 billion, up from $2.87 billion in August, according to Token Terminal.
The BNB Chain's market share of tokenized stocks and ETFs stands at 30%, followed by Ethereum at 22%, and Solana at 20%. The network hosts products such as Binance bStocks and Ondo Global Markets tokenized securities.
The total number of addresses holding tokenized stocks on the BNB Chain has reached 1.8 million, accounting for 45% of the total. Tokenized stocks and ETFs have grown more than fivefold from $719 million in January, with Ethereum accounting for 48% of the market at that time.
The BNB Chain's dominance in tokenized assets is a significant milestone, and it remains to be seen whether other blockchains will be able to catch up.
