BNB Chain Surges to Near-50% Share in Tokenized Equities Market
BNB Chain's tokenized equity initiative has propelled it to the forefront of the market, accounting for nearly 50% of the total supply in this space. According to BlockWorks data, BNB Chain surpassed Ethereum [ETH] in growth by August, with its tokenized equities reaching over $1.3 billion compared to Ethereum's $800 million.
The introduction of bStocks has been a significant driver of this growth, providing 24/7 settlement capabilities and composability, features not available with traditional shares. This product has also enabled the accumulation of over $500 million in Assets Under Management (AUM) since June, with more than 67 active assets now supported by bStocks.
Trading on BNB Chain has already exceeded $19 billion, indicating that these assets are being actively circulated rather than simply remaining issued on-chain. This dominance in tokenized equities does not necessarily translate to a similar lead in the broader RWA market, however, with Ethereum still controlling 45% of this space.
