BNB Chain Surpasses Ethereum as Primary Host for Franklin Templeton's Tokenized Assets
Franklin Templeton's Benji platform has chosen BNB Chain as its primary network for hosting tokenized assets. According to validated data, approximately $1.5 billion of the platform's money market fund assets are now on BNB Chain, representing 61.7% of the total $2.44 billion under management.
This move is significant because it shows that institutional investors are increasingly looking for low-cost and high-throughput networks to settle their tokenized assets. While Franklin Templeton has not abandoned Ethereum or Stellar entirely, BNB Chain's share of Benji assets is now the largest among the three networks.
BNB Chain's low fees and distribution network have likely attracted institutional investors looking for cost-effective solutions. This development highlights the growing competition between blockchain networks to host tokenized assets, with BNB Chain emerging as a strong contender.
