BNB Hits $755, But Bulls May Be Setting Themselves Up for Disappointment
BNB is trading at $755 with every major moving average below price, but a MACD that has gone dead and open interest contracting 3.86% during today's rally are telling a different story.
The tape looks healthy, with a clean 3.85% push off yesterday's $720.89 low and all moving averages from the 7-day to the 200-day sitting comfortably below current price.
However, volume and derivatives are indicating a less durable move, as spot volume on Binance came in at $118.5 million for the 24-hour window, respectable but not convincing, and open interest in BNB futures dropped 3.86% while price surged nearly 4%.
The positioning data shows that both retail and institutional-leaning 'top traders' are crowded long, with a global long/short ratio of 2.36 and 70.2% of accounts net long.
