BNB Surpasses Ether and Solana in Grayscale Smart Contract Fund
Grayscale Investments has made significant changes to its Smart Contract Fund during its second-quarter review. The fund now holds BNB at 30.6%, surpassing Ether and Solana, which hold 29.47% and 29.15% respectively.
The change was made by selling existing components in proportion to their weights and using the proceeds to buy BNB. This addition gave BNB the largest weight in the fund immediately after its inclusion.
Grayscale's DeFi Fund also reduced its Uniswap position, but Uniswap remains the largest holding at 34.16%. The fund tracks a market capitalization-weighted index with a cap on individual positions and eligible assets must meet specific trading and custody requirements.
