BNB's Bright Future Clouded by Binance's Regulatory Woes
Binance Coin (BNB) has seen significant growth over the past three years, increasing by 240% and becoming the fourth-largest cryptocurrency in the world.
Despite its impressive performance, experts suggest that investors should consider selling BNB due to concerns surrounding its association with Binance, a major crypto exchange with a history of regulatory issues.
In recent news, the U.S. Department of Justice has moved to seize $61 million in crypto funds tied to Iranian oil sales, which are subject to sanctions. The DOJ alleges that two China-based companies laundered the proceeds through trading accounts at Binance.
Binance denied any wrongdoing and claimed it was not named as a defendant in the case. However, this is not the first time the exchange has faced regulatory issues, with Binance pleading guilty to anti-money laundering laws and sanctions violations in 2023 and agreeing to pay $4.3 billion in penalties.
