BNMR Aggressively Purchases Ethereum Amid Unrealized Losses
Bitcoin Emergence Technologies (BNMR), the world's largest Ethereum holder, continues to aggressively purchase more ETH despite facing significant unrealized losses. In the past week alone, BNMR purchased an additional 28,086 Ethereum, worth around 93 billion won, bringing its total holdings to 5,929,198. This move has pushed the company closer to achieving its goal of securing 5% of the total Ethereum supply.
As of the 7th, BNMR's staking return is 2.61% per year, generating $330 million in annual revenue from ETH holdings alone. When all of its ETH is fully staked through MAVAN and partners, this figure is expected to increase to $386 million annually.
However, the company's aggressive purchasing comes at a cost, with BNMR holding Ethereum at an unrealized loss of around $5.1 billion. Ethereum's price has fallen 16% since the beginning of the year, trading at approximately $2,484 as of the 9th.
