Boltz Suspends Swap Service Amid AI-Driven Attack Surge
Boltz, a Bitcoin service that enables users to swap cryptocurrency between different blockchains without giving up control of their funds, has suspended its swap service indefinitely due to an influx of AI-assisted attacks.
The company said it had seen a 'steady rise in automated, AI-assisted probing' over recent months, with attackers discovering and exploiting vulnerabilities faster than Boltz's small team could deploy fixes.
Boltz noted that the pace of attacks had accelerated sharply in recent days, forcing it to keep swap services offline while it reviewed its security.
No user funds were compromised, as Boltz is a non-custodial service by design, and any losses were absorbed by the company itself.
