Boomer Whale Cuts $31M Altcoin Longs, Shifts to Shorts on ZEC and NEAR

Hyperliquid's Boomer whale has made significant adjustments to their altcoin holdings. On Monday, they closed more than $31.1 million in long positions across ten different altcoins, resulting in an estimated loss of $1.248 million before shifting into short positions.

The closed longs covered a range of assets including ZEC, NEAR, UNI, HYPE, PUMP, ENA, AERO, ONDO, SKY, and PENGU. Notably, the only position that recorded a small profit was PUMP.

Within minutes of closing their ZEC long, Boomer opened short positions in both ZEC and NEAR, with combined values totaling approximately $9.707 million. The ZEC short accounted for around $8.237 million, representing 6,000 tokens opened at an average price of $1,421.40, yielding an unrealized profit of about $291,000.

The NEAR short was valued at roughly $1.47 million, consisting of approximately 322,100 tokens opened at an average price of $4.63 and showing an unrealized profit of around $24,000.
