Peter Brandt, a veteran trader, has shared his thoughts on the potential risks of quantum computing to Bitcoin's security. He warns that if the cryptocurrency were hackable due to quantum computers, he would want to 'short everything in the world of Bitcoin.'

Brandt believes that if the June low marked the start of a new bull market, and he still sees a 'good shot' that this is the case. However, he also hopes for a 'tradable low' near $65,000 to $66,000 in early October, which could clear out traders who piled in.

Looking ahead, Brandt expects Bitcoin to reach around $250,000 by early 2029 and sees a cycle top between $300,000 and $600,000 later that year. He ties this timing to the next halving, due in April 2028, when miners' block rewards are cut in half.
