Brandt: XRP 'Not Worth Owning', Would Convert to BTC Immediately
Veteran trader Peter Brandt has expressed his disdain for XRP, stating that he would immediately convert a large position into Bitcoin if he owned it. This comes after being challenged on social media over his views on the Ripple-linked cryptocurrency.
Brandt questioned why anyone would care about XRP, saying 'Who the heck even cares about XRP?' and 'I do all my betting in futures.' He also emphasized that owning a significant amount of XRP is not appealing to him, as he would immediately convert it to BTC if given the opportunity.
XRP has been struggling to hold the $1 level, currently trading around $0.9992 according to price data provided. This is a significant drop from its all-time high of $3.65 reached on July 17, 2025, with XRP being about 72.6% below that mark.
Brandt has been vocal in his criticism of XRP, frequently clashing with members of the XRP community. He has described XRP as 'the Edsel' and called it a 'manipulated scam IIMO.' While he did show some temporary interest in the token, warning of a possible decline towards $1.07 if its bearish head-and-shoulders pattern played out.
