The integration includes live prices, conversion rates, and price charts for over 17,000 cryptocurrencies, as well as market valuations for assets shown in blockchain explorer results and market data charts in AI-powered answer experiences.

Brave Search serves over 80 million daily queries and 2.4 billion monthly queries, making it a significant player in the search engine market. The integration of the CoinGecko API is particularly strategic given Brave's crypto-native ecosystem, where users can already earn Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) via the Brave Rewards feature. This creates a naturally crypto-aware user base that requires quick access to crypto data to perform daily tasks.

The integration has reduced user friction and enables quicker access to key information for users active in digital assets. The /coins/markets endpoint delivers live prices, market capitalization, and 24-hour trading volume, while the /coins/{id}/market_chart endpoint displays inline price charts within the search UI.
