Brazil Rises to Top of Cryptocurrency Adoption Index Amid Global Market Contraction
Brazil has taken the top spot in a revamped cryptocurrency adoption index, according to Chainalysis. The United States ranks second, Nigeria third, Japan fourth, and South Korea fifth.
The index combines four factors: fund flows to crypto services, domestic peer-to-peer activity, cross-border fund flows, and on-chain holdings. Brazil did not rank first in any single category but placed consistently high across categories, earning the top spot overall.
Latin America stands out for its growth, with a regional crypto activity of $593.8 billion, increasing 9.8 percent over the same period while the global crypto economy shrank 1.6 percent.
