Brazil's Crypto ETF Market Tripling as Latin America Emerges as Launchpad
Brazil has emerged as a hub for crypto ETFs, with its B3 exchange hosting at least 22 funds offering exposure to digital assets. Hashdex, a Brazilian asset manager, has been instrumental in driving this growth, launching Solana and XRP ETFs last year.
The company's latest product is a hybrid Bitcoin-and-gold ETF, scheduled for launch on July 29, 2025. This fund aims to provide investors with digital asset exposure while mitigating volatility by pairing it with gold.
Latin America has seen increased inflows in regional equity ETFs due to favorable commodity prices and macroeconomic tailwinds. Brazil's securities regulator has taken a pragmatic approach to crypto fund approvals, treating digital assets as a legitimate category rather than a regulatory hot potato.
