Breinrock Seeks EU Regulatory Approval with CASP and PI Licenses
Breinrock, an established player in the crypto and financial services space, has taken a significant step forward by applying for Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) and Payment Institution (PI) licenses under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation.
The applications were made through Breinrock s.r.o., its Czech entity, and submitted to the Czech National Bank. If approved, these licenses would enable Breinrock to operate as an authorized crypto-asset service provider and payment institution across the EU market.
Breinrock already holds regulatory licenses in several countries, including Canada, the UK, UAE, Czech Republic, and Switzerland, serving clients in over 150 countries. The CASP and PI applications represent an extension of its existing regulatory footprint into the EU's harmonized crypto and payments framework.
MiCA is a unified regulatory framework for crypto-asset services, covering areas such as custody, trading platforms, exchange services, and advisory work on crypto-assets. The regulation replaced national regimes that governed crypto firms operating in the bloc.
