Broadridge's DLR Platform Hits New Records with $8 Trillion in Repo Transactions

Share

Broadridge Financial Solutions' blockchain-based Distributed Ledger Repo (DLR) platform processed $8 trillion in repo transactions during July, marking a significant milestone for the company. The average daily volume on the platform reached $365 billion, representing a 28% year-over-year increase.

The DLR platform allows institutions to settle repo trades and move tokenized collateral using distributed ledger technology, providing real-time financing and collateral movement while retaining established market workflows.

Broadridge's global head of digital innovation, Horacio Barakat, noted that tokenization is becoming an essential part of how institutions manage liquidity and collateral. He added that DLR continues to demonstrate the potential of distributed ledger infrastructure for core financing activity.
