BTBT Stock Surges as Cloud Pivot Outshines Legacy Bitcoin Mining
Bit Digital Inc.'s stock has seen a significant increase of 3.66% in recent trading, driven by strong bullish sentiment surrounding its Bitcoin mining operations.
The company's Q2 EPS loss narrowed to $0.31 from last year's $0.45 loss, while revenue topped the consensus estimate at $32.1M. Bit Digital has been shifting its focus towards cloud and colocation services, with a growing ETH treasury backing its WhiteFiber/NC-1 cloud infrastructure arm.
The company has locked in over $540M in multi-year cloud services contracts, which are expected to support over $200M in annualized revenue once fully deployed. This transition from short-cycle, price-of-bitcoin-driven revenue to longer-term, contracted cash flows is a key driver of the stock's recent momentum.
Bit Digital has also tapped into an ETH-backed financing structure to fund its NC-1 data center build without diluting shareholder equity or selling any ETH. This non-dilutive funding approach preserves the company's crypto upside on its balance sheet.
