BTC, ETH, XRP Hesitate Near Recovery Levels Amid Regulatory and Monetary Policy Uncertainty
The global cryptocurrency market has shown a fragile recovery after a broad market rally on Thursday lost momentum on Friday. Bitcoin's price is hovering near $79,463, while Ethereum is trading at around $2,451.72, and XRP is holding steady at $1.40.
Despite the recent rally, Bitcoin's price still needs to overcome its $82,000 resistance level to solidify its recovery. A sustained close above this level could open the door for a push towards $85,000. On the other hand, a rejection of this level could send the price back down to Friday's intraday low of $78,700.
The CLARITY Act, scheduled for a September 15 cloture vote in the Senate, and the upcoming Federal Reserve meeting on September 15-16 are two major catalysts that will determine the next direction for BTC, ETH, and XRP. The legislation aims to provide clearer federal oversight of digital commodities and securities, which could have significant implications for XRP.
The Federal Reserve's decision to raise interest rates or maintain the current rate will also impact the cryptocurrency market. Strong employment data released on September 4 has given policymakers more room to raise rates if upcoming inflation data remains elevated. Higher rates could strengthen the dollar and restrict speculative demand, while a pause could support another cryptocurrency advance.
The total net inflows of $731 million into Bitcoin spot ETFs on September 3, led by BlackRock's IBIT with $454 million, is a positive sign for the market. However, Ethereum spot ETFs saw only $141 million in total net inflows, which may indicate some caution among investors.
