BTC Holds $1.1B Weekly ETF Inflows as Fed Odds Cool
Bitcoin (BTC) saw significant inflows into ETFs last week, totaling $1.1 billion. However, this week's flows turned negative as a five-day streak of BTC inflows came to an end.
The macro environment had eased its hawkish stance, with the Federal Reserve's September rate hike odds dropping from 70% at the start of August to around 30%. This shift in sentiment was reflected in the bond market, where yields rebounded slightly before closing lower. The dollar also softened, while volatility compressed and equities firmed.
Despite this supportive backdrop, BTC prices struggled to hold above their reclaim zone, sitting 5% below $66,900. The ETF flows for BTC turned negative on August 10, breaking the five-day streak of inflows, and stayed that way through August 13. Isolated positive days do not overturn a negative week.
The Blueprint team remains cautious, labeling this as a 'stabilisation-to-conditional regime', rather than a confirmed repair. They require two conditions to be met before calling accumulation: price must hold above the reclaim zone and ETF flows must turn net positive on a full Monday-to-Friday basis.
