BTC Price Trapped Below MAs, Eyes on $61K Amid 'Crowd' Long Positioning

Bitcoin's current price is stuck below its short-term moving averages (MAs), and it's not just a matter of minor resistance. At $63,649, BTC is trading significantly lower than both its 7-day SMA ($64,647) and 20-day SMA ($64,439). The more concerning figure is the 200-day SMA at $71,901, Bitcoin is approximately $8,250 below this level.

The MACD has printed exactly flat, indicating a complete loss of momentum in the market. The RSI (Relative Strength Index) is at 47, neither oversold nor strong enough to suggest accumulation or any meaningful buying interest. This setup typically resolves with either a coiled bounce or an accelerating breakdown through the lower band.

The current positioning in the derivatives market adds more concern, as open interest climbed 1.37% over the past 24 hours while price fell. This is a textbook signature of fresh short positioning being layered in, not long liquidations driving the drop, but new directional bets against the market.
