BTC Price Trapped in Consolidation Phase Amidst Broader Bearish Trend
Bitcoin's price has been stuck in a broad consolidation phase, struggling to break above a descending resistance trendline that has governed the market for several months. The current price of around $63.5K is showing some short-term recovery, but the broader structure remains cautious until key resistance zones are decisively broken.
The daily chart shows Bitcoin trading below a descending trendline connecting major highs since the beginning of the year, currently sitting at the $66K area. A breakout above this resistance would represent an important structural improvement and could open the door toward the $74K resistance zone.
However, the broader trend remains bearish-to-neutral, with Bitcoin still trading below major moving averages on the chart. The longer-term moving averages are sloping downward, reinforcing the significance of the descending trendline.
