BTC Surpasses Estimated Production Cost of $85,000, But Relief May Be Short-Lived
JPMorgan recently estimated Bitcoin's production cost to be around $85,000. For 280 days, BTC remained below this threshold before briefly crossing it during its recent rally.
The bank estimates that nearly 20% of mining companies are currently operating in the red due to high electricity prices and low equipment efficiency.
If Bitcoin stays above $85,000 for an extended period, it could reduce forced sales by mining specialists and alleviate margin pressure on the sector.
