BTCNow Brings Pay-Over-Time Model to Bitcoin Ownership
BTCNow has launched a new way for consumers to buy Bitcoin, allowing them to lock in their purchase and spread the cost across 60 fixed monthly payments.
The company's Pay-Over-Time model is designed to make it easier for people to build long-term positions in Bitcoin without committing to a large upfront payment. The Bitcoin is held in trust by BitGo until fully paid for, eliminating the risk of margin calls or forced liquidations caused by short-term market fluctuations.
Founded by Marc Dumpff, a structured finance veteran with 17 years of experience, BTCNow's approach combines a simple consumer proposition with institutional-grade financial infrastructure. 'Pay-Over-Time has changed how people think about paying for everything from electronics to travel, but Bitcoin ownership has largely remained an all-or-nothing purchase,' said Dumpff.
BTCNow is planning a U.S.-wide rollout over the coming months as it builds out the platform. The company believes its Pay-Over-Time model represents another potential route into Bitcoin ownership, particularly for consumers who want to build a long-term position but may not want to commit a large amount of capital at once.
