BTCNow Launches 60-Month Bitcoin Purchase Plan with Fixed Price
BTCNow has launched an early access period for its 60-month Bitcoin purchase plan. Customers can buy BTC at a fixed price, paid in installments over time with advertised monthly payments starting at $50.
The plan allows customers to make 60 equal payments with no down payment, and the price is locked when they sign up. BTCNow buys Bitcoin before selling the plan and holds it in a Delaware statutory trust during repayment, with BitGo Trust Company as custodian and Wilmington Trust as trustee.
Once the plan is completed, customers receive their Bitcoin in a BitGo wallet. However, BTCNow warns that Bitcoin's price can be volatile, and this product is not insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp (FDIC).
