BTCS Repays Aave Loans Using Ethereum Holdings
BTCS, an Ethereum infrastructure company listed on Nasdaq, used its ETH holdings to repay $8.2 million in Aave loans in Q2 and ended June with only $317,113 in cash and stablecoins.
This move was part of a broader effort to manage the company's balance sheet, which included reducing DeFi loans and Aave collateral during the quarter.
At the end of Q2, BTCS reported $89.3 million in assets, $50.4 million in total liabilities, including $36.0 million in DeFi-protocol loans, and a cash reserve that accounted for only 0.36% of its assets.
The company's decision to swap ETH into USDT was likely driven by the desire to reduce exposure to market volatility and DeFi protocol risks.
