BTCS Takes Imperium Beyond Ethereum Mainnet with Base Expansion
BTCS Inc., a company focused on decentralized finance and blockchain infrastructure operations, has expanded its Imperium DeFi business line onto Base, an Ethereum Layer-2 network created by Coinbase. This marks Imperium's first move beyond Ethereum mainnet.
The expansion is part of BTCS's multi-chain strategy to generate scalable high-margin revenue by allocating liquidity across multiple networks and assets where demand is strongest. Imperium's paired liquidity pool assets have grown from approximately $8 million at the end of Q2 to about $36 million in Q3, positioning BTCS to exceed its $6 million gross profit target for 2026.
Charles Allen, CEO of BTCS, said that expanding Imperium into a multi-chain strategy is 'a clear example' of exploring new opportunities to generate revenue. The growth of Imperium's paired LP assets has accelerated in the third quarter, with management expecting this trend to continue.
