BTSE Exchange Secures FSL to Operate Crypto Trading Venue and Custody

BTSE Exchange Pte Ltd has made significant progress in its regulatory journey. The company has been granted a Financial Services License from the Gelephu Financial Services Office, allowing it to operate a virtual asset multilateral trading facility and institutional custody.

The license enables BTSE Bhutan to offer compliant trading and custody operations, which is a crucial step for the exchange. As part of its phased launch, the exchange will initially offer spot trading in BTC/USDT and ETH/USDT.

This development follows the company's April 2026 in-principle approval, paving the way for the exchange's launch. The addition of institutional custody is also a significant milestone, as it enables BTSE to support institutional onboarding and generate revenue through custody fees.
