Warren Buffett has stepped down as chairman of Berkshire Hathaway after more than 60 years at the company, leaving behind his legacy as one of the most well-known investors in history.

In a farewell letter to shareholders, the 96-year-old described the timing as right to complete the transition and praised Greg Abel for taking control of the company's day-to-day decisions.

Buffett also thanked his son Howard G. Buffett for becoming chairman and continuing the family's legacy at Berkshire Hathaway.

The news marks the end of an era for one of the most influential investors in history, who was known for his skepticism towards cryptocurrencies, particularly Bitcoin (BTC).
