BUIDL Takes Top Spot in Tokenized Treasury Market with $2.8 Billion AUM
BlackRock's tokenized U.S. Treasury fund, BUIDL, has regained its position as the market leader in the rapidly expanding tokenized Treasury sector. According to recent data, BUIDL's assets under management (AUM) have reached approximately $2.8 billion, surpassing Circle's USYC product and widening its lead over competitors.
The overall tokenized U.S. Treasury market has grown to $16 billion from $15 billion in recent weeks, reflecting sustained institutional interest in blockchain-based representations of government debt. Other major players, including Ondo Finance and Franklin Templeton, have also expanded their offerings, intensifying competition in the space.
The growth of tokenized Treasuries represents a convergence of traditional finance and decentralized infrastructure. By placing government securities on blockchain rails, issuers aim to improve settlement efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enable programmatic use cases such as collateral management and automated trading.
