Buterin Maps Ethereum's Future Beyond Hegota Upgrade

Vitalik Buterin has outlined his vision for Ethereum's future beyond its planned Hegota upgrade in 2027. In a recent blog post, he described an architecture that combines cryptographic technologies with core Satoshi ideas to create a 'cryptographic world computer'.

The proposed network would use proof-of-stake, zero-knowledge proofs, data sampling, and decentralized off-chain computation to verify data, reach consensus, build blocks, and execute computation. This would be a significant change from the traditional blockchain model.

Buterin believes that Ethereum's architecture has already undergone substantial changes since its launch in 2015 and is likely to undergo another major transformation over the next three years.
