Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has expressed skepticism towards Elon Musk's proposals for Dogecoin's blockchain. According to Buterin, Musk's suggestions of increasing block size and reducing fees would lead to 'extreme centralization' and compromise the fundamental properties of a blockchain.

Musk had proposed that DOGE's block size and block times be 10 times faster than current levels, with fees 100 times lower. However, Buterin argues that such changes are difficult to achieve without sacrificing decentralization.

Buterin emphasizes the need for 'fundamental technical improvements' rather than simply increasing existing parameters. He notes that the current bottleneck in Ethereum concerns storage size and is working on a solution through Proof-of-Stake (PoS), which aims to reduce high fees and congestion.
